February First-Timers |
We all know that they came out with a lot of new songs in Feb. of '71 that really changed the the road the band was on and they were taking a different route. Then on 2/9/73 at Stanford with 7 new songs on one night. I don't remember them ever doing that again. Were there any other times this happened in such a concentrated format?

Re: February First-Timers |
Triple February Introductions. I guess the cold rainy winter gave them time to create. This one is only two songs but you are right, two very important pieces for years to come.

I like the Rolling Stone write-up in the comments where the writer refers to Truckin' as Juggin'.

Check this one out 10-19-71 in Minne-soda
http://www.archive.org/details/gd71-10-19.orefm.clugston.3301.sbeok.shnf1st Jed, Jack, Rose, Sat Nite, Mexicali, and a Comes a Time w/ the extra verse! Stellar Wharf Rat too. In fact, the whole shootin match is spectacular. keith's 1st show too, I believe. Phil's backing vocals on JStraw are very entertaining!
